1934: Firecracker May Cost Boy Sight in One Eye

Merril Moser was 10 in 1934, when he and some friends were playing with firecrackers. One of the crackers was put underneath a small box, which when it blew up made the box fly into poor Merril’s eye. It was sewn up, but there’s no word on whether or not he lost the sight in that eye or not.

Merril Moser would be 85 if he’s still around.

Next post, featuring 1944, at 9 a.m.
