Not only did they require garters — they would have had lovely seams down the back. In that era, were they seamless the ad would have said so. And $0.79 was a lot to pay for a pair of “nylons” in 1934. Decades later, the going price was $1 a pair.
Ah, seams and garters. The good old days.
