1934: Globe Prevents the Year Without a Christmas

The Daily Globe published three letters from children whose families couldn’t afford Christmas presents or Christmas dinner in 1934, appealing to their readers to help. Even Scrooge’s heart would have been melted to a puddle after reading these.
