1945: Dr Swett’s Early American Root Beer

If I were going to make a root beer, I wouldn’t call it anything that sounded like "sweat," but this 1945 advertisement is for Dr. Swett’s Early American Root Beer. But Dr. George Swett didn’t really have a choice about his name, either.

Back then people liked things to be high in dextrose.
