1945: Lovely Girl Crowned Basketball Homecoming Queen

Dorothy Williams, a junior in high school, was crowned basketball homecoming queen in 1945 at a dance in Memorial Auditorium after the game.

This picture didn’t fare well, even after my cleanup efforts, and I apologize for the weird black speck over Emma Greve’s lip. She is a pretty girl and does not have a mustache; it’s just a speck on the page. Eunice Carlson was not blurry in the newspaper, either.
