An epidemic of car accidents (two?) had occurred this week in 1935, according to the Nobles County Times, but fortunately the injuries weren’t as bad as initially expected.

They were going to create a dam southwest of Adrian to make an artificial lake there in 1935. I’m not as familiar with that area as I should be (I’m from Jackson, which is east of Worthington, whereas Adrian is west of Worthington). Is there still a dam there? I don’t see a lake on the map,…
