1945: When Elizabeth Taylor Was Associated with a Dog

This 1945 advertisement for National Velvet called Elizabeth Taylor "the Lassie girl."

I… did not know that. I loved her in Jane Eyre, though (which was also prior to National Velvet).

Also note the description of Angela Lansbury as a "pulse-quickening beauty."
