    Just thought some people would be interested –
    The name of Charles Mundale, Daily Globe regional editor, crops up here now and again, as with the current Slayton storm report. Charles Mundale is a first cousin of Walter Mondale. The families’ last names were changed by a misunderstanding in claims for titles on land homesteaded by two immigrant Norwegian brothers.

    And bizarre. I wonder if there are still arguments in the family about who is more “correct”?
