1945: Total Eclipse of the Sun a Total Yawner

In July 1945, hundreds of Worthington residents wondered this morning at the eerie twilight which opened the day, when the slanting rays of the early morning sun should be the most glaring. Most of them thought that it was probably another showery day coming up.

I loved that part of The Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court.
