1960: Eichmann Case Settled
Eichmann was captured in May 1960, an action that was quite controversial. If you’re at all interested in this topic, I would recommend reading philosopher Hannah Arendt’s “Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil.”
Arendt covered the trial on behalf of the New Yorker, so the book is about the trial, but as a philosopher she also criticized Eichmann’s conduct on a philosophical and ethical level, yet in a way that laymen could understand.
