1960: All You Can Eat at the Normandy
It looks like a U.S. Bank, a BP gas station, an Avera Living Well Center and a MetaBank are on that corner now, with no sign of the Normandy of 1960.
Does anyone know why the restaurant was named that, or when? Was it named after the area of France (perhaps offering French cuisine) or after the invasion? In 10 years, will we have restaurants named Sadr City?
