1939: Trojan Staff Ready

Jean Watson, Don Rickers, Edwin Roberts and Blanche Shaw were on the staff of the Trojan in 1939, and they were getting ready to work.

For my out-of-town readers: The Trojan was the Worthington High School newspaper for a very long time. The school stopped producing it at some point–I’m not sure when that was, exactly–but now they have the Trojan Times online. It looks like it hasn’t been updated for a while, but as you can see, it was more of a journal in some ways than a hard-news newspaper, and it was quite a lot of fun to read. I hope they keep updating it this year.

  1. Howard says:

You do know that that’s Beth’s dad in the photo? He sure was a good guy, and patient too.

  2. Kari Lucin says:

I had assumed it was, since I recognized the name, but Beth isn’t in to confirm it, so I figured I was better safe than sorry in not mentioning it.

Don Rickers has a great reputation, and I wish I could have met him.
