1939: Too Many Great Parade Entries
At the first King Turkey Day parade in 1939, there wasn’t a reviewing stand for the parade judges, who thus had little time to judge each entry. Because of that, and also because there were so very many good parade entries, they increased the number of winners from 3 to 5.
