Hi Kari,
I saw your post about Gerald Niemeyer and I have a question that I wonder if you might help me with. My uncle, Walter Willey told me that before Gerald Niemeyer was band director at Worthington HS, he was in a traveling band with my Great-Uncle, Claude Willey. Would you know how to find any information about this at all? I can’t seem to locate if Gerald and Ida had any children and perhaps their children knew about it? Apparently they were quite good and traveled all over the Iowa area in the 30′s and 40′s. thanks! Nancy
I do not, unfortunately, and I don’t live in Worthington anymore to try to hunt something up for you.
Your best bet is probably the Nobles County Historical Society, which can be found here: http://www.noblespioneervillage.com/
