1986: Hardy Rickbeil Retires from Federal Savings and Loan Association
F. Hardy Rickbeil retired from the board of the Federal Savings and Loan Association board in 1986.
Mr. Rickbeil died recently, and I feel very privileged to have met him. He’s one of the few people I know of (much less ever met) who shows up in the 1930s all the way through the 1980s, and I wrote a story about him myself four or five years ago. He will be missed–even by those of us who only met him a time or two.
