    I am the son of Hermie and Leona Nelson and one of the dogs that were burned was our pet. This was a devasting loss for my parents but they were strong people and just kept on farming on the place until several years later when he had a heart attack and they had and auction and moved to Hartley, Ia. Our son, Hermie Gene saw this article and forwarded it to us. Thanks for printing it. We have enjoyed several printings of “old times” that you have printed. Although this wasn’t a pleasant memory as the others were.
