In 1961, Coach Floyd ‘Baldy’ Nelson was heading into his 11th season as head coach for track, and he had a pretty impressive record.

Nelson died in February 2011 with an even more impressive record for service.

Does anyone know how he got his nickname? I… see a lot of hair here, and even in the picture published with his obituary.
